Physiotherapists are university-trained health professionals who are experts in the physical diagnosis and treatment of movement impairments and injury. As primary care-givers, Physiotherapists can assess, diagnose and treat your injury through a variety of treatment methods.

At Red Cedar Physiotherapy we place emphasis on the following treatment methods:

  • Physio at Red Cedar Physiotherapy in RevelstokeManual Theapy – the use of hands on techniques to mobilize spine and peripheral joints, free nerve tissue and restore muscle tone.  This allows the body to move fully efficiently and best of all, pain-free.

  • Active Rehabilitation – the use of specific individualized exercises tailored to the needs of the client, their stage of recovery, and their goals.

  • Physio at Red Cedar Physiotherapy in Revelstoke
  • Education – empowering our clients through knowledge about their condition and self management strategies to assist in reaching immediate needs and long term goals.

We believe that an accurate diagnosis is fundamental to the successful treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.  For this reason initial appointments are one hour long.  Follow up treatments are scheduled for 30 minutes of one to one direct care.

Pilates is a method of exercise where participants recruit their underlying core musculature to support the body’s structure while performing a fluid sequence of movements with a focus on efficiency and form.

Pilates helps with core strength, balance, posture and dynamic alignment.  These, along with the development of new movement patterns and heightened body awareness, all combine to help prevent future re-injury.

It is a beneficial form of exercise for a variety of conditions including back pain, sporting injuries, arthritis, poor posture, and during/post pregnancy.

Pilates bookings are one hour long and can be scheduled as either a small group class (max 3 people), a private session, or join up with a friend for a duet.  Choose times that are convenient to you!
